D'après "Tchernobylinterinform" (voir le site), l'agence d'information créée par le gouvernement ukrainien, les balades qu'elle organise dans la zone "interdite" sont sans risques.
Si le cœur vous en dit, si vous êtes amateur de sensations fortes, si vous êtes un nostalgique des villes fantômes, il vous en coûtera, pour une excursion d'une journée en groupe, entre $200 et $400, transport et repas compris.
Les premiers touristes ont débarqué en 2002. En 2004, 870 y sont allés !

Elle en a rapporté un reportage photo sur Pripiat , sur les maisons et les granges où prolifèrent les loups, les renards et les sangliers, sur l'intérieur de maisons où la vie s'est arrêtée, où noircissent des photos de famille, où pourrissent des jouets et des nounours, sur des bâtiments où la radioactivité est si élevée qu'il faut les éviter pendant encore 48 000 ans.

Arrival in Chornobyl. A briefing with the leadership of the State Department – Administration of the estrangement zone. During a conversation you will get some idea about the estrangement zone and Chornobyl Nuclear Power Station, have acquaintance with the main types of the works and projects which are conducted in the estrangement zone by the scientists, specialists of
Ukraine
and foreign countries.

Trip to 10-km zone. Visit to the site of Chornobyl Nuclear Power Station – an enterprise where more than 5000 staff was employed. External examination of the object “Sarcophagus”- concrete and steel shelter which covered radioactive masses and debris left after the explosion, visiting of the review pavilion, the possibility to see the natural growth survived after the accident – so-called “red forest”, and also the burial village. Acquaintance with the peace and quiet of the ghost town Prypyat’ all 47.500 inhabitants of which had to leave their homes the next day after the accident. Examination of the abandoned apartment blocks, schools, hotels, kinder gardens.
